Ecumenical, Interfaith ?
Chip Kendall (AKA Chip K) – Thebandwithnoname formed as a group through an ecumenical, Purpose Driven Organisation called Innervation Trust.
references are numbered and linked.
[1] Published on: 11/23/2004 as was stated on PBC (Poynton Baptist Church) website, “The four main leaders of the Innervation Trust are all from PBC – George Petch, Rob White, Zarc Porter and Mark Pennells.”
[2] Poynton Baptist Church who are part of Hope ’08, are ecumenical as they state, “Allied to this was the realization of the need for the 7 churches to work together to present a common witness of the gospel in Poynton. The final factor was the emergence of gifted lay people who shared the vision for ecumenical mission.”
Poynton Baptist Church are also a Purpose Driven church, as they stated [3] “this 40-day study book was recommended to support the teaching The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren”, along with promoting the [4] alpha course, the four main leaders of Innervation Trust who are from Poynton Baptist Church this would clearly make the Innervation Trust part of a Ecumenical organisation.
Chip Kendall and thebandwithnoname are involved with Kidz Klub (UK) headquarters in Liverpool, [5] “What about those who don’t complete the Alpha Course? Each month, we run a city-wide evangelistic youth event called the Edge. Combining live music from the most popular Christian bands including The Tribe, YFriday, Steve and Thebandwithnoname with hard-hitting gospel presentations from speakers including Arthur White of Tough Talk and Andy Hawthorne of The Message Trust, gives us high attendance and a high number of responses to the gospel. This hi-tech, hi-action evening is attended by over 600 young people from all over the city and even surrounding towns. In fact, it’s been growing so fast that we’ve moved it from our own building to a bigger venue in the centre of town with a capacity of 2500. On November 16th, we recorded our highest ever attendance: 1050 people! Kidz Klub visitors encourage young people they know to attend and each month loads of teenagers give their lives to Jesus.”
Kidz klub is another ecumenical project [6], which Chip Kendall is also involved in. [7] Kidz Club has corporate sponsorship from three secular companies; Arriva Transport, Mars and Haribo, also Christian business enterprise THE4POINTS Ltd.
X-PLOSION
[8] The Roman Catholic diocese of Westminster started an ecumenical youth event called X-PLOSION 05 on Sunday, 6 November. After the celebration of the Mass, music was provided by leading Christian bands.
[9] In 2006 thebandwithnoname were involved with with this Roman Catholic ecumenical initiative, X-PLOSION 06 which also involved the Anglican Diocese of St. Albans Youth Service.
Thebandwithnoname was one of the bands that provided the music after the celebration of the Mass.
SOUL SURVIVOR
[10] In 2004 the Catholic Agency to Support Evangelisation (CASE), in a response to Pope John Paul II’s Message of World Youth Day 2004, organised an event called, “Soul in the City,” in London. This was an ecumenical event and the Christian charity Soul Survivor was employed to co-ordenate it.
Part of the events organised during “Soul in the City” was the celebration of a daily morning mass. This blatant promotion of the Roman Catholic Mass shows the obvious ecumenical stance of Soul Survivor in that they have no problems with the Catholic dogma of the Mass.
[11](Soul in the City’s website now directly links with the Hope ’08 website so that “Soul in the City” is now part of the Hope ’08 initiative)
[12] Soul Survivor is one of the organisations that founded Hope ’08 and thebandwithnoname has worked with them for several years now.
[13] Mike Pilavachi, Director of “Soul Survivor,” was one of the main organisers employed by the Roman Catholic Church during “Soul in the City.” [14] (Interestingly enough there is no mention of this fact on “Soul Survivor’s” website. This strikes this author as a bit of an oversight, if not downright devious.)
[15] Mike Pilavachi comes highly recommended by CASE: The Catholic Agency to Support Evangelisation as can be seen from CASE’s directory, and lauded by the former Catholic bishop of Hexham and Newcastle, Rt. Rev. Ambrose Griffiths. [16] Mike Pilavachi is described as Executive Director of “Soul in the City” by CASE.
[17] Mr Pilavachi describes Bishop David Pytches as one of “his bosses at St Andrews.” David Pytches is the founder of New Wine which will be featured in a further article concerning Hope ’08.
[18] Bandwithnoname featured at New Wine 2005 where band member Leon Henderson (aka “Q Kid” or “Kid Quality”) auditioned to become a member.
GOD TV
[19] Chip Kendall (aka Chip K) is part of the presentation team on GOD TV’s “The Warehouse Project.” GOD TV was started in the UK by Rory and Wendy Alec a South African couple, CEOs and creative directors of Europe’s first religious television station GOD TV. There are major problems with GOD TV as it hosts a whole number of false teachers, false prophets and evangelists such as [20] Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Rory and Wendy Alec (and their frontline manager Johnny Woodrow), Kenneth Copeland, Rick Joyner (Morning Star), Jesse Duplantis, Colin Dye (Kensington Temple), John Hagee, Cindy Jacobs and others.
There is a well know fact, that the heart of GOD TV is about “Money”.
[21] There is alot more to GOD TV than people know. Wendy and Rory Alec are supported by Elijah List Prophets, [22] Mike Bickle John Paul Jackson and Paul Cain, who have made numerous false prophecies which have left many people devastated and on the verge of suicide.
[23] The Elijah List is also known for its promotion of the “gold dust” phenomena, “angel orbs” and the appearance of “angel’s feathers.”
This author has spoken personally with Chip Kendall (aka Chip K) and David Strafford (aka Straff) of thebandwithnoname concerning their involvement with such ministries and people. They understood this and the implications of the direction that they were taking however, as they stated at the time they are “too deeply involved.”
Chip Kendall, thebandwithnoname, Y-Friday, LZ7, all other bands and individual artists in the so-called “contemporary christian music scene” may preach a gospel message that speaks of the need for repentance and the dangers of hell (which is commendable,) however with tens of thousands of young followers the example that they are giving to these impressionable youngsters betrays the message.
Being compromises themselves with false teachers and the world, it is no wonder that so many young Christians are worldly and carnal.
Greenbelt Festival UK.
Chip K and the bandwithnoname are supporters of Greenbelt. They are performers at the same festival alongside many heretical and perverse groups and, sadly, overlook this and are willingly ignorant.[24]
Greenbelt Festival was established in the [25] 1970’s on Prospect Farm in Suffolk, in order to embody every organisation and denomination that would class it self to be Christian or (non-christian eventually), inspite of doctrine or creed as long as they had met the Greenbelt festival’s criteria.
It is my belief that many of the impressionable young children and teens that attend greenbelt are unaware that they are getting involved with deception, occultic and pagan influences including the [26] Roman Catholic Mass .
The truth is Greenbelt is a whole melting pot of false teachers, pagan and other occult spiritual influences. This includes the Roman Catholic Mass, the Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement (LGCM), Ecumenical organisations, Emergent Church groups, Replacementists, New Age movements and many others.
[27] Going back into recent history of Greenbelt on Saturday 17th February 2007 there was a conference organised by the Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement (LGCM) titled Faith, Homophobia and Human Rights.
In this particular conference Steve Chalk’s Faithworks [28] was one of the main group’s supporting this conference. Faithworks was the same organisation who was linked with and supported Hope 08, people that Andy Hawthorne and Chip K have been involved with both in the past and to this very day.
Most of the groups that are involved with Greenbelt target the younger audience. Young people are easily manipulated into accepting bad theology, false doctrine and the dumbing down of the Gospel message.
One of the musicians that Chip K admires, and calls one of his heroes and role models, [29] is Toby Mac member of the Ecumenical band DC Talk. According to David Cloud Toby Mac does “accept Roman Catholics as brothers and sisters in Christ in spite of Rome’s false sacramental gospel, heresies pertaining to the papacy, Mary, the priesthood, etc. When Pope John Paul II visited the States in January 1999, dc Talk joined hands with hundreds of thousands of Catholics to welcome him. Featured at a Catholic youth rally connected with the Pope’s visit, where dc Talk, Audio Adrenaline, Rebecca St. James, Jennifer Knapp, The W’s, and the Supertones (CCM Magazine, April 1999, p. 12). dc Talk’s Kevin Max praised the Catholic youth for coming out to hear the Pope, describing John Paul II as “someone with something of substance to say” (Ibid.). Each attendee received a rosary with instructions about how to pray to Mary.”[30] Toby Mac is also connected with Rick Warren [31] even though Rick Warren prayed to the false prophet of the Qu’ran ISA (the false Jesus of Islam). According to the Qu’ran, ISA/Jesus was NOT crucified and was NOT resurrected from the dead and was NOT the Son of the most high God, not even God. Even Rick Warren would appease Allah the demon god of the Qu’ran [32].
Chip K can be seen interviewing Delirious. [33] At the end there was no gospel given yet Chip K only offers an alter call. I often wonder why any one would want to receive prayer from those who are inflenced by doctrines of demons. Delirious is openly ecumenical, [34] According to Delirious themselves: “Delirious? will be taking part at the massive World Youth Day in Germany this summer. This year is the 20th occurrence of the Catholic celebration, first started by Pope John Paul II in the 1980s. More than 1.5 million people from all over the world are expected to attend over the five days of this years event, with Delirious? set to perform on 21st August in Cologne.
The event also coincides with the first official vist of the new Pope, Benedict XVI, to his home country. As part of the prelude to the event, Fierce! is distributing a compilation album title ‘Building One World’ featuring a remake of the official World Youth Day song ‘Venimus Adorare Eum’, plus other songs from artists including Delirious?, Michael W. Smith, The Newsboys, Sarah Brendel, Moya Brennan and Third Day.” During this event [35] the handover of the Cross marks the start of Sydney’s role in hosting World Youth Day 2008, the world’s largest youth event. Gary Pinto (formerly of pop group CDB) presented a show after Mass that included a song written for the historic handover event.
It is very clear that Chip K does not have issues with Roman Catholicism and its pagan practices. Chip K has no problem with leading people into fellowship with the Roman Catholic Church and the Roman Catholic Mass.
Christ said “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” (Mathew 18:6)
False teaching and misleading people causes offence, but they don’t realise what damage they are causing. “Unto the pure all things [are] pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving [is] nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny [him], being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.” (Titus 1:15 – 16)
