Ahmed Al-Hassan said: “The Mohammedan soul can replicate itself into another twin soul which is an identical copy of itself.”
Ahmed al-Hassan’s claim that the “Mohammedan soul can replicate itself into another twin soul” is a clear contradiction of biblical truth and reflects a dangerous departure into mystical, Gnostic-style speculation. Nowhere in Scripture is the soul described as capable of replication or duplication; rather, the Bible teaches that each human soul is uniquely created by God (Zechariah 12:1; Ecclesiastes 12:7), individually accountable to Him (Ezekiel 18:4), and destined for eternal judgment or life based on its relationship to Jesus Christ (Hebrews 9:27; Matthew 10:28). This teaching of soul replication is not only foreign to the Bible—it undermines the doctrine of human individuality, responsibility, and the image of God in man (Genesis 1:27). Such false mysticism serves to elevate the cult leader’s fabricated spiritual authority and distracts people from the sufficiency of Scripture and the gospel. It is critical that seekers of truth reject these dangerous misrepresentations and return to the Word of God, which alone is able to make one wise unto salvation (2 Timothy 3:15).
As followers of Christ committed to the truth of Scripture, we face many challenges today from false teachings and self-proclaimed messianic figures. One such influence comes from the so-called “Soul Family” doctrine promoted by Ahmed Al-Hassan, leader of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light, who claims to be a divine figure sent by God. This teaching not only distorts biblical truth but also leads many into spiritual deception.
The Dangerous Claims of Ahmed Al-Hassan in Door Number Eleven: A Call to Biblical Discernment for Christians
The Book written by Ahmed Al-Hassan, titled The Soul Family, the cult articulates one of its most theologically dangerous and spiritually deceptive doctrines. This chapter introduces the concept that all true prophets, messengers, and even the followers of the cult today are not merely human beings, but “copies” or emanations of a pre-existent divine family—the so-called Ahlulbayt or “Soul Family.”
The central claim is that:
“There is only one soul family which God has created in His image and form. This soul family is the Infallible Ones or the Ahlulbayt. And this soul family is the family of the Father (Muhammad), the Mother (Fatima), and the Son (Ali). All the messengers from the beginning of creation until its end, the Mahdis, and the supporters of the Qaim are copies of the Infallible Family.”
In this framework, Muhammad, Fatima, and Ali are declared the primordial divine trinity. The prophets are iterations of Muhammad and Fatima; messengers are duplicates of Ali. Even Ahmed Al-Hassan is alleged to be the literal reincarnation of Imam Hussein, and the followers of the “Qaim” (i.e., himself) are said to be reincarnations of the Ansar (supporters of past prophets).
This doctrine is a profound distortion of biblical anthropology, Christology, and soteriology. The claims here must be carefully and categorically deconstructed.
II. Pre-Existence and the Imago Dei: Rewriting Creation Theology
A. Misuse of “Image and Form” Language
The chapter begins by asserting that God created a special group of souls—Muhammad, Fatima, and Ali—in His own image and form. However, the biblical teaching of the imago Dei applies universally to mankind, not exclusively to a select lineage of souls:
“So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” – Genesis 1:27
There is no biblical basis for a soul-based caste system in creation. All human beings are created equal in dignity and nature, regardless of lineage. This cult’s redefinition of the imago Dei as limited to a reincarnated soul-family exalts certain individuals to quasi-divine status and dehumanises the rest. This is Gnostic elitism cloaked in religious language.
B. Christ Alone is the Image of the Invisible God
Only Christ is said to be the exact imprint of God’s nature:
“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.” – Colossians 1:15
“He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature…” – Hebrews 1:3
To claim that Muhammad, Fatima, or Ali were created in the image of God in a special way that supersedes or parallels Christ is to violate both the uniqueness of Christ and the doctrine of the incarnation. This is not merely a doctrinal error—it is heresy.
III. The Reincarnation of Prophets and Supporters: A Gnostic and Pagan Invention
The cult teaches that the prophets and messengers are “copies” of Muhammad, Fatima, and Ali, appearing across different times. For example, Adam and Eve are said to be copies of Muhammad and Fatima; Moses and Zipporah likewise; Mary and Joseph again mirror this duo.
A. Reincarnation is Anti-Biblical
Scripture absolutely denies reincarnation:
“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” – Hebrews 9:27
Each person lives once, dies once, and is judged once. The doctrine of transmigration of souls has no support in either the Old or New Testament. It is rather a pagan and Hindu-Buddhist concept, sometimes adopted in Gnosticism and mystical branches of Shi’ism, but entirely absent from the Christian worldview.
Even in the case of John the Baptist, who came “in the spirit and power of Elijah” (Luke 1:17), he flatly denied being Elijah himself (John 1:21). This was a matter of typology, not soul repetition. The Ahmadi cult collapses typology into literal soul identity, which is exegetically and theologically indefensible.
B. The Dangers of Doctrinal Syncretism
The theory presented in Chapter 9 combines elements from:
- Shi’ite esotericism (e.g., Nur Muhammadi doctrine)
- Egyptian triadic worship (Isis, Osiris, Horus)
- Kabbalistic soul emanations (Sephiroth and divine sparks)
- Gnostic aeon myths (emanations of divine syzygies)
- New Age reincarnationism
This is not Christian theology. It is an occult syncretism that mimics sacred language while smuggling in unbiblical paradigms.
IV. Ahmed Al-Hassan as Reincarnated Hussein: The Apotheosis of the Cult Leader
The chapter also presents Ahmed Al-Hassan as the literal soul of Imam Hussein, who was present at Karbala and has returned to fulfil the eschatological role of the Qaim. This elevates Ahmed to Messianic and atoning stature within their system.
This is a direct substitution of Christ’s unique mediatorial office (1 Tim. 2:5) with a false, recycled, and demonically-inspired Messiah. Only Christ has offered a once-for-all atonement (Hebrews 10:10). There is no place for an end-times Hussein as a substitute saviour or divine ruler.
V. “Copies” and Predestined Divinity: A Doctrine of Elitism and Spiritual Caste
By asserting that cult followers are reincarnated souls of ancient prophets’ supporters, this doctrine gives members a false assurance of salvation and spiritual supremacy. It is antithetical to the doctrine of grace through faith.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” – John 1:12
Sonship is not by secret soul identity but by faith in Jesus Christ. This doctrine robs the gospel of its power, replacing the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit with a system of secret knowledge and spiritual privilege.
VI. Theological Summary and Evaluation
Aspect | Biblical Truth | Cult Teaching | Verdict |
---|---|---|---|
Image of God | All mankind bears God’s image (Gen. 1:27) | Only Ahlulbayt bear it uniquely | Heresy |
Christ’s Uniqueness | Christ is the only image of God (Col. 1:15) | Muhammad-Fatima-Ali form divine trinity | Blasphemy |
Reincarnation | Denied (Heb. 9:27) | Affirmed for prophets, messengers | Paganism |
Salvation | By grace through faith in Christ (Eph. 2:8) | By secret soul identity and reincarnation | False Gospel |
Mediation | One mediator: Jesus Christ (1 Tim. 2:5) | Ahmed Al-Hassan as reincarnated Hussein | False Christ |
VII. Conclusion: Exposing the Gnostic Core of the Seventh Covenant
The “Soul Family” doctrine is one of the most damning elements of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light. It rewrites the doctrine of man, replaces the person of Christ with a blasphemous trinity, and exalts a cult leader to divine status through occult claims of reincarnation and secret soul identity.
This doctrine is:
- Anthropologically elitist
- Christologically heretical
- Soteriologically false
- Historically plagiarised from Gnosticism and Shi’a mysticism
The biblical gospel declares:
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all…” – 1 Timothy 2:5–6
No one else, whether Muhammad, Ali, Fatima, Hussein, or Ahmed Al-Hassan, is a co-mediator, pre-existent saviour, or divine soul. Only Jesus Christ is the “Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” (Rev. 13:8), and only those who are in Christ by faith are true sons and daughters of God.
